Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Global Customer Success, the Customer Success Manager (CSM) serves as a primary liaison for existing clients. This role emphasizes post-sale interactions, focusing on customer enablement, service performance, renewals, upselling, and enhancing the overall client experience.

The CSM is responsible for driving incremental sales and maintaining existing revenue by proactively engaging with clients, introducing them to new product features, service improvements, pricing strategies, and the advantages of the Megaport offering.

This position is part of the Integrated Accounts Team, collaborating closely with a Direct Sales Executive and Solutions Architect in the APAC region. The CSM plays a vital role in the team, tasked with delivering ongoing commercial engagement for a designated client portfolio, with the goal of expanding, retaining, and maximizing value from this account list.

In alignment with Megaport's value proposition, you will continuously work to enhance customer reliance on the diverse and expanding array of Megaport benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Integrated Account Team, including Direct Sales Executives and Solution Architects, to drive revenue growth and retention from existing clients, ensuring a positive overall customer experience.
  • Proactively manage the renewal process across a broad customer base, enhancing long-term revenue potential by transitioning clients from month-to-month to term subscriptions at renewal.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for existing clients, focusing on initial onboarding and enablement to ensure swift value realization, while providing insights on Megaport enhancements, new offerings, and ecosystem partners.
  • Conduct proactive outreach communications to a large customer base, promoting further adoption, solution awareness, and opportunities for engagement with Megaport and our partner network.
  • Champion clients throughout their journey, facilitating the resolution of customer-related issues and concerns from a commercial and sales perspective, while identifying ways to add further value.
  • Nurture the assigned client base, pinpointing key targets and implementing an engagement strategy tailored to opportunities and the specific needs of the customer vertical.
  • Analyze and report on customer experiences by understanding their needs and communicating trends to the broader Megaport team. Identify growth opportunities through pipeline updates and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Megaport products and solutions, capable of proposing and demonstrating these to clients while being aware of competing services.
  • Review objectives with management to align tasks with business goals, adapting as necessary based on the company's focus or plans.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on campaigns and strategies aimed at revenue growth.
  • As a subject matter expert, evaluate customer feedback and recommend improvements to processes that enhance visibility and understanding of business performance against targets.
  • Work with other departmental teams (Finance, Operations, etc.) to address challenges affecting the customer service experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the Enterprise software market or Internet/Telecommunications sectors.
  • 3+ years of experience in an Account Management or Customer Success role.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment, managing multiple tasks or objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify customer needs, understand service issues, and present suitable solutions.
  • Proficient in delivering revenue results through a consultative selling approach.
  • Able to work with broader Megaport teams to focus on revenue generation and outcomes.
  • Maintain records, reports, and data in accordance with Megaport models, emphasizing revenue retention from the established customer list.
  • Experience in proposing or deploying cloud and virtualized computing solutions in enterprise customer environments is highly desirable.
