Job Description:

We are seeking a Mentor and Educator to work with young women in STEM fields. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative program aimed at promoting interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among high school students.


The primary objective is to provide guidance and support to our mentees as they explore various STEM areas. This will involve regular communication, idea generation, and development of their skills and confidence in STEM subjects.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent teaching and coaching skills, have a strong understanding of STEM concepts, and be able to communicate effectively with young people.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging learning strategies to promote STEM education.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to our mentees, helping them build their skills and confidence in STEM areas.
  • Collaborate with other educators and mentors to share best practices and ideas.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest STEM developments.
  • Participate in camps and events to connect with mentees and other program stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in a STEM field or related area.
  • Teaching or mentoring experience, preferably in a STEM context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to commit to regular communication with mentees and program staff.
  • Valid Working with Children Check or equivalent.
