Seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in a part-time capacity.

The ideal candidate will have experience across a wide range of accounting functions and be proficient in using Xero.

We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously as part of a broader team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for recording and maintaining all financial transactions, preparing period end reports and ensuring timely exchange of accounting information between Xero and Tourplan.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting transactions in Xero based on accrual accounting
  • Ensuring accurate records of company finances
  • Monitoring financial health and compliance

Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Systems Operation Manager to ensure Tourplan is appropriately supported in terms of accounting
  • Manage deferred revenue and expense accounts and reconcile these monthly
  • Liaise with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries

Requirements:

  • Bookkeeping experience: 4 years (preferred)
  • Xero experience: 4 years (preferred)
  • Travel industry experience: 2 years (preferred)
