Effective Bus Service Coordinator

Operations Management Role
">The position of Operations Controller plays a critical role in ensuring seamless and efficient operation of bus services. The successful candidate will be responsible for real-time management and support of frontline driving staff, responding to both normal and emergency situations.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate bus and employee operational movements for scheduled bus services and routes">
- Schedule in line with all necessary safety and compliance regulations">
- Liaise with workshop personnel to coordinate and schedule maintenance requirements">
- Manage and allocate fleet in line with the compliance requirements to meet client expectations">
- Ensure availability of fleet in each operational depot is sufficient to meet service demands">
- Ensure accuracy of driver work instructions are kept up to date">
- Continually review and provide effective cover in the event of unexpected needs due to such instances as vehicle breakdowns, staffing changes, late running of buses, demand, and poor weather etc">
Requirements:

- Ability to work shift work">
- Previous experience scheduling and/or Operations Controller in a complex operational environment">
- Ability to solve problems, manage complexity and multitask">
- Excellent communication skills">
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities">
- Strong understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations (NHVR)">
- Ability and preparedness to build relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders such as clients and vendors">
- Flexibility, attention to detail and resilience">
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of company systems and processes">
- Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol screening">
