Job Summary

Thompson & Redwood (2001) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure all operating equipment is in good working condition.
  • Technical Planning: Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, methods, and sequences of operations for equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Operational Shutdowns: Coordinate and execute operational shutdowns for repairs to critical equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Team Leadership: Assist in leading the T&R maintenance team to achieve optimum performance, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for upgrades and process improvements related to equipment and buildings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production and operational staff to develop and implement planning processes, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
  • Manufacturing Support: Form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools, and cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Erect machines and equipment on-site, ensuring safe and efficient installation.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure all consumables and critical parts are on hand and available for any breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Project Management: Participate in project managing capital works or major upgrades and repairs, ensuring successful project delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in maintenance and technical operations, with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong attention to detail.
