Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Haematology Laboratory as a Grade 1 Medical Scientist.
About the Role- Perform accurate and timely Haematology and Blood Bank testing
- Prioritise urgent work and troubleshoot instrumentation issues
- Deliver high-quality results while adhering to laboratory protocols and NATA accreditation standards
- Rotate through various laboratory sections and participate in a 24/7 shift roster including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely analysis of blood samples for diagnosis and treatment
- Effective troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Collaboration with laboratory staff to ensure seamless operation of the laboratory
- Continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with latest advancements in Haematology
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Laboratory Medicine or equivalent (majoring in Haematology)
- Strong interest in Haematology and commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Eligible to work in Australia
