About the Role:
The State of Queensland is seeking a skilled and experienced Coding Quality and Documentation Improvement Expert to join our team. As a Health Information Liaison Specialist, you will play a critical role in establishing and coordinating a coder clinician liaison function to facilitate effective communication with clinicians across Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH).
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and coordinate a coder clinician liaison function as an expert health information resource to facilitate effective, dynamic, and regular communication with clinicians across QCH.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of education and documentation across all divisions to improve the overall quality of clinical documentation and clinician knowledge of coding and its impact on maximization of revenue for the hospital.
- Ensure improved quality of documented clinical data in key hospital service delivery areas to promote data quality, accurate acuity representation, coding accuracy, and Diagnosis Related Group optimization.
- Conduct organization-wide education and information sharing relating to Activity Based Funding.
