Lead Oncology Nurse Role

Prince of Wales Private Hospital seeks a highly passionate and dynamic Oncology Nurse to join as a Clinical Manager (NUM1) on a permanent full-time basis for our Adult Day Oncology Unit.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and operational direction to ensure efficient management, coordinate evidence-based nursing care delivery, and ensure excellent patient and family-centered care in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational direction
  • Coordinate evidence-based nursing care delivery
  • Ensure excellent patient and family-centered care
  • Guide, mentor, and support your team
  • Manage human, financial, and material resources effectively
  • Undertake direct patient care as required
  • Ensure compliance with national standards

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in Acute Oncology or Day Infusion
  • Management or in-charge experience
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing teams
  • Ability to foster positive stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of labour management
  • Understanding of private health funding
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to high standards of clinical and customer care
  • High computer literacy including MS Office and databases
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team
