Australia Papua New Guinea Compliance Director

Aon, a global professional services firm, seeks an experienced compliance professional to lead its Australia and Papua New Guinea (PNG) operations. As Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for driving compliance, training, monitoring, providing assurance, and managing risks within Aon's Australia and PNG businesses.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Aon's Sydney office, with some flexibility to work remotely at times. The role is open to applicants in Sydney, Australia.
As a member of Aon's Asia Pacific Law & Compliance team, you will play a critical role in managing all compliance duties and responsibilities related to the Aon Australia and PNG businesses. You will work closely with the legal lead in Australia, as well as compliance leads in Asia and New Zealand, and business stakeholders across Aon's three lines of defence.
The ideal candidate will have operational compliance management experience, with exposure to financial services including general insurance or insurance broking. They should be process-oriented, with an interest in using technology to aid delivery of compliance services in the most effective and scalable manner. A tertiary degree or equivalent in law, finance, business, or commerce is required.
The salary range for this position is approximately AU$160,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure includes base salary only and does not account for additional benefits or performance-related bonuses.
In addition to your technical skills and experience, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and articulate strategy in a straightforward and amiable manner that encourages partnership and teamwork across the enterprise.
