Role Overview

The Head of Compliance, Australia position is a critical role in our organization. As a member of the Aon Asia Pacific Law & Compliance team, you will be responsible for leading compliance professionals to support the Aon Australia and Papua New Guinea (PNG) business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support growth strategies for Aon Australia and PNG by ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Evolving and supporting Aon's global compliance strategy aligned to meet local regulations.
  • Leading and inspiring the Australian compliance team through driving global goals locally applied.
  • Maintaining Aon's global policies and relevant local addenda.
  • Driving fact-based progress of compliance programs and their effectiveness.
  • Overseeing the assessment of new laws, regulations, and trends in Australia and PNG.

Requirements

  • Operational compliance management experience with exposure to financial services.
  • Process-oriented with an interest in using technology to aid delivery of compliance services.
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent in law, finance, business, or commerce.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team onshore and offshore.
  • Ability to influence and articulate strategy in a straightforward manner.
