Job Opportunity: Career Guidance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Career Advisor to support students in their career aspirations and provide guidance on pathways to further education and employment.

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the vocational training system and be able to provide expert advice on options available. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, teachers, and industry partners.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.
  • Able to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • A commitment to professional development and growth for both self and others.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their career aspirations and provide guidance on pathways to further education and employment.
  • Develop and implement career education programs tailored to meet the needs of students.
  • Establish connections with industry partners and external agencies to provide students with real-world learning experiences.
  • Contribute to the development of initiatives that promote student engagement and participation.

This is a part-time position working Monday to Friday 9.00am - 3.15pm.
