Job Description:

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for leading the development of data visualisations and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI Desktop Client. This role involves creating reports, developing tabular models, managing database objects, and synchronising content from local drives to platform Azure DevOps Repositories.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Author reports using Microsoft Power BI Desktop Client
  • Develop tabular models (SSAS Projects) using Microsoft Visual Studio with RDS
  • Manage database objects using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Sync content from local drive to platform Azure DevOps Repo using GIT tools
  • Provide information and request new DevOps release pipeline creation, folder and content related security setup including RLS setup post deployment as well as moving/deleting content on Power BI portals
  • Parameterise data source connections for SQL Direct query

This role requires a strong background in computer science, information systems, or a related field, as well as advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud Data Warehouse solutions, such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure.

">Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Advanced skills in Power BI
  • Advanced skills in DAX
  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with relational databases and database design
  • Experience with cloud Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure, etc.
  • Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as SSIS & ADF
  • Working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in data pipeline and workflow management tools
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to guide and oversee the selection and application of data engineering methodologies, tools, and practices
