Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to clients.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life.
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to develop and review client support strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Yesability's behaviour support services.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or a related allied health discipline.
  • Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical behaviour support strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards governing positive behaviour support.
  • Registered with NDIS as a PBS practitioner at a proficient level or above.
