Scientific Laboratory Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our scientific team and drive excellence in operational efficiency and cross-regional alignment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule laboratory activities, ensuring equipment maintenance and availability.
- Maintain laboratory compliance with safety management systems and policies.
- Assist in documenting laboratory processes and operating procedures, including risk assessments.
- Maintain complex scientific equipment, monitor its performance, standardise and calibrate as necessary.
- Ensure safe storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- General laboratory housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in managing hands-on laboratory environments.
- Experience with safety management and risk assessment processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to develop positive relationships and contribute effectively as a team member.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications or training in laboratory management.
- Bachelor of Engineering in relevant fields or equivalent vocational qualifications or experience.
Note: Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold or have recently held a high-level security clearance.
