Job Title: Scientific Support Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our science department as a Scientific Support Specialist. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our team of scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing equipment, materials, and chemical solutions for practical lessons.
  • Maintaining laboratories in a safe, clean, and well-organised manner.
  • Providing technical and administration support to staff.
  • Contributing to the effective and efficient management of the science department.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma qualification relevant to the tasks outlined from a recognised tertiary institution or qualification which, in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education or delegate is acceptable.
  • Demonstrated professional expertise as outlined within the Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award - State 2015.
