We are seeking an experienced Senior Visual Merchandising professional to join our team on a permanent basis from our Sydney office. This role will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager ANZ, coordinating and implementing Visual Merchandising standards for department and signature stores across the Northern portfolio.

The successful candidate will develop an understanding of each store's commercial needs and design constraints, responding to each unique environment by drawing on navigation and merchandising principles.

As key contact for Retail Teams, the Senior Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for communicating critical information that is essential to the success of visual merchandising displays, providing in-depth training to teams, and ensuring Aesop standards are consistently maintained across stores in their portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creatively develop VM concepts in line with Global VM guidelines and implement VM displays in Aesop stores and counters as well as Aesop Global Head Office
  • Plan for proper procurement, creation, installation, and delivery of props for visual merchandising of all relevant stores and counters as well as storage after campaigns
  • Prepare regular VM reports and meeting materials
  • Develop and share VM guidelines for merchandising changes and creative execution with all related parties
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and develop the skills of the Northern VM Coordinator to create engaging VM activations across the region
Requirements
  • Understanding and appreciation of Aesop's visual culture and a passion for the brand
  • Extensive experience within Visual Merchandising at a senior level
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in one of the following: visual merchandising, visual arts, interior or stage design
  • Strong attention to detail, design aesthetic, and excellent organisational skills
  • Understanding and skill set in photographic composition and execution
  • Solid skillset and experience in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commercial skills that demonstrate a solid understanding of business reporting and interpretation of sales data
