Highway Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Highway Infrastructure Engineer to deliver high-quality designs for infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external contributors to ensure coordinated, timely, and successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local design standards, including the Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) and Transport for NSW Supplements. Experience in highways and infrastructure projects, particularly within the NSW market, is highly regarded. A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a commitment to professional development, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deliver: Provide civil engineering advice and apply advanced technical skills to produce high-quality designs for infrastructure projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform detailed analysis and design tasks in alignment with relevant technical standards, client requirements, and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaboration: Engage proactively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and multidisciplinary contributors to ensure coordinated, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Project Success: Contribute to the commercial and operational success of projects by applying sound project management principles, meeting deliverables, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Innovation and Safety: Assist in the development and integration of BIM and digital engineering practices, supporting sustainable design solutions and improved health and safety outcomes across infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on design experience in highways and infrastructure projects, ideally within the NSW market.
  • Experience on Transport for NSW (TfNSW) road projects, which will be highly regarded.
  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and a commitment to professional development, ideally working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of local design standards, including the Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) and TfNSW Supplements.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and exposure to industry-standard road design software such as 12D, OpenRoads, or Civil 3D.
  • Experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary design teams, contributing to integrated, high-quality project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
  • A natural strength in communications and coordination of multiple disciplines to play a central role in multi-disciplinary project.
