Experienced Uniform Pattern Designer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Patternmaker to lead the creation, maintenance, and integrity of uniform patterns for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end patternmaking process using Gerber (v12+) ensuring garments meet strict specification, fit, and compliance requirements.
- Audit and maintain baseline patterns, ensuring accuracy and alignment with garment specifications and size charts.
- Participate in garment fittings to ensure accurate fit, pattern adjustments, and product compliance.
- Create and manage patterns, tech packs, and associated documentation, ensuring version control and critical path adherence.
- Liaise with sample makers and suppliers to ensure patterns are accurate and manufacturing-ready.
You will be responsible for managing a team of experts who work closely together to achieve exceptional results. A successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary education in Apparel Design, Patternmaking, Product Development, or Garment Manufacturing/Construction.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in patternmaking, grading, garment fitting, and spec development.
- Expertise in Gerber Patternmaking systems (v12+ essential).
