Clinical Supervisor/Facilitator

We are seeking qualified professionals to join our team as Clinical Supervisors/Facilitators for Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health students undertaking practicum placements in the Kimberley region.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a capable and culturally responsive health workforce through education, innovation, and research.
- Supervise students effectively, facilitating active learning and supporting diverse backgrounds
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and advice to students related to their clinical placement
- Collaborate with staff from Majarlin, universities, and external clinical facilities to deliver quality supervision/facilitation models
Majarlin is a University Department of Rural Health based at the University of Notre Dame's Broome campus, contributing to the growth of a capable and culturally responsive health workforce through inspiration, education, innovation, and research.
The centre facilitates over 250 student placements per year across the Kimberley, providing a variety of support structures for students undertaking placements.
This role may also be of interest to clinicians interested in considering an academic career as an opportunity to gain experience in tertiary education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incorporate, advocate, and demonstrate culturally sensitive healthcare practices
- Teach and facilitate students undertaking Majarlin practicums according to requirements, including completion of assessments
- Contribute to the development of engaging, relevant, and technology-enhanced supervision/facilitation models
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant qualifications and/or experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the discipline area are required. Experience in teaching and/or research within a university or teaching environment will be highly regarded.
