Academic Sessional Position (Clinical and Teaching)

About the Role:

We are seeking applications from registered healthcare professionals with a passion for teaching and clinical supervision.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students from various universities across Australia, providing guidance and support in a culturally sensitive environment.

  • Clinical Supervision:
  • Incorporate culturally sensitive practices into student placements.
  • Supervise students with a student-centred approach, facilitating active learning and supporting diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide academic counselling, mentoring, and advice to students related to their clinical placement.
  • Teaching Responsibilities:
  • Supervise/facilitate/support students undertaking practicums according to University and Facility requirements.
  • Incorporate scholarship and professional expertise into teaching practices.
  • Contribute to developing engaging supervision models.
  • Research Opportunities:
  • Contribute to collaborative projects relevant to discipline-based teaching practices.
  • Support the broader research activities of Majarlin and contribute to collaborative research projects.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A nursing or midwifery degree.
  • Registration as a nurse or midwife with the relevant state/territory health care commission.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
