Job Description:

An AO6 Senior Procurement Officer plays a key role in managing high-risk procurement and driving business improvement within a government department.

This involves handling complex procurement processes, shaping the future of how the department operates, and overseeing data reconciliation, contract disclosure reporting, and procurement data integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Procurement and Tender Management: Managing the full tender lifecycle, providing expert advice to stakeholders, and exercising procurement authorizations.
  • Data and Reporting: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the department's procurement data.
  • Business Improvement: Leading the development and implementation of new business processes and technology solutions to enhance the procurement and contract management frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets whole-of-government requirements.
  • Compliance and Governance: Developing and implementing a Quality Assurance Program and performing compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to Queensland Government frameworks.
