Procurement Expert Wanted

This Senior Procurement Officer position involves managing end-to-end procurement processes for various goods, services, and works, ensuring optimal value and compliance with public sector policies.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex procurement projects from planning to contract management and evaluation. They will also be responsible for developing procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals, preparing and evaluating tender documentation and contract terms, negotiating with suppliers, advising internal stakeholders on procurement policies, and ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement projects from start to finish.
  • Develop procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement policy.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience managing procurement processes in a similar environment.
  • A strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • A degree in a relevant field such as procurement, business, or law is highly desirable.
  • Experience at an AO6 level or equivalent in a procurement role.
