Strategic Fleet Operations Manager

This pivotal role ensures the safe, efficient and reliable operation of vehicle fleets. The Strategic Fleet Operations Manager oversees all aspects of fleet management, from acquisition and utilisation through to maintenance, replacement planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement, contract management and vehicle administration processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies and standards.
  • Develop and administer fleet policy in support of operational continuity, sustainability and optimising total operating cost outcomes.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, regional directors and external providers to deliver cost-effective and compliant outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or a combination of qualifications and substantial experience in fleet management and operations.
  • Strong experience in fleet operations and management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and overall portfolio oversight.
  • Proficient in corporate financial and administrative systems, with hands-on experience using fleet management and telematics platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong track record in influencing, negotiating, and building productive networks across internal and external partners.
