Key Role in Shaping Union's Digital Strategy

About the Job

The successful applicant will play a key role in shaping the union's digital strategy, working closely with the Communications Team to enhance online presence and engagement of members across the state.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital communications and wants to contribute to the important work of the union.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage and engage with social media channels to foster meaningful connections with members.
  2. Monitor social media for stakeholder engagement and maintain consistent branding.
  3. Identify opportunities to increase member engagement through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to ensure seamless communication across all digital mediums.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
  1. Strong understanding of social media channels and their relevance to public sector education.
  2. Excellent written communication skills to craft compelling content that resonates with members.
  3. Experience in engaging and monitoring social media in fast-paced environments is highly valued.
  4. Professional judgment to navigate changing situations and make informed decisions.
  5. A relevant tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, or journalism is preferred but not essential.
