Forensic Science Specialist

The position of Forensic Science Specialist is available in a leading forensic biology and DNA analysis unit.

About the Opportunity

We seek an expert professional with advanced knowledge and experience in forensic biology and DNA analysis to provide high-quality test results and certificates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced scientific knowledge and experience to ensure accurate, timely, and customer-focused provision of tests and reports in a NATA accredited unit.
  • Develop and implement effective workflow management strategies to meet performance targets within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Provide expert certificates with varying levels of complexity, ensuring the accurate and timely provision of tests and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science or Applied Science with a major relevant to forensic biology/DNA analysis.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience or knowledge in methods, instrumentation, and emerging technologies relevant to the field of forensic biology, gained in an accredited laboratory or relevant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and prioritise workflow effectively to ensure unit objectives and performance targets are met within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to various stakeholders.
