Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing technical service operations, ensuring dealer technicians are equipped to service vehicles to manufacturer standards.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering face-to-face and virtual training for dealer technicians, including onboarding, diagnostics, and systems.
  • Developing and updating training content, assessments, and modules aligned with global standards and emerging technologies.
  • Providing in-field support, coaching, and mentoring to technicians, including diagnosing and resolving product issues.
  • Monitoring and analysing technical trends using systems, and implementing training interventions to address recurring faults.
  • Collaborating with OEMs, engineers, and internal teams to support updates, recalls, and campaigns.
  • Managing technical operations, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and distributor agreement standards.

About the Role

  • You should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a trainer or senior technician in commercial vehicles, with EV/hybrid knowledge preferred.
  • Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) required.
  • You should possess strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to drive change and deliver results in dynamic environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; must hold a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel nationally and internationally.
