About the Role

Mediix is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Mackay, Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients develop, recover, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualised treatment plans and goals tailored to each client's needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor progress.
  • Client Education: Educate clients and their families about strategies and techniques to support independence and improve quality of life.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA or eligible to apply (completed stage 1 desktop assessment).
  • English Exam: English exam.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion: Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy.
