Are you passionate about making a positive impact on youth mental health? We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to join our dynamic team at the University of Melbourne.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of youth mental health research. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in managing research projects, conducting literature reviews, and participating in qualitative research.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to Research Projects: Manage research projects, including ethics applications, and participate in team research activities.
- Conduct Literature Reviews and Analysis: Undertake rapid reviews of youth mental health literature and perform qualitative interviews and analysis.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Participate in national forums, maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute to team meetings.
- Support Service Development: Contribute to the development of services targeting young people with, or at risk of, first episode psychosis within designated headspace centres nationally.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A postgraduate degree in behavioural or social sciences, with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in youth mental health research and service development.
- Experience with qualitative research methods and literature reviews.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to negotiate and prioritise workload effectively.
- A passion for building a research career in the mental health sector.
