The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) provides dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12–25 in Melbourne's north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. PYMHWS is Victoria's first standalone public mental health service built exclusively around young people's needs. Working in partnership with Orygen, PYMHWS combines research, clinical excellence and governance to deliver seamless, person-centred care. Our singular focus on youth means we're not just providing mental health care – we're reimagining how it's experienced, accessed, and delivered.
The OpportunityOur service is made up of compassionate, curious, and committed people. We are looking for an experienced and reflective Senior Mental Health Clinician to work within the KEYS residential care program, drawing upon support from HYPE and the HYPE model of Relational Clinical Care. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician in KEYS/HYPE, you will deliver early intervention mental health care for young people in the KEYS program. You will work collaboratively with the interagency and residential care teams to facilitate reflective, relational practice and professional development. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term appointment. The role is based at PYMHWS Parkville, with regular on‑site work at the residential care unit in St Albans and may include clinical work from the PYMHWS Sunshine site.
Responsibilities- Engage the young people in the KEYS program and conduct mental health assessments.
- Develop biopsychosocial treatment plans for young people in the KEYS program in collaboration with the young person, their families, and others involved in their care.
- Provide intensive biopsychosocial treatment for young people in the KEYS program, in collaboration with the young person, their families, and others involved in their care.
- Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team to develop and implement a holistic case plan and support safety planning.
- Consult with others in the interdisciplinary team to promote mental health–informed and therapeutic care.
- Contribute to systems‑informed care through reflective practice, secondary‑consultation, and capacity building within the team.
- Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 4; Occupational Therapist; Social Worker; Psychologist Grade 3
- Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in tertiary and/or youth mental health, with demonstrated ability to lead a clinical team, supervise mental health clinicians, and function both autonomously and collaboratively with clinical and organisational leaders
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills

Position: Senior Mental Health Clinician providing assessment, therapy and systems‑informed care within an interagency team supporting young people in the KEYS program.
Program: KEYS residential care program; funded by the DFFH; a partnership with Anglicare Victoria, YSAS, VACCA and PYMHWS.
Location: PYMHWS Parkville; regular on‑site at the residential care unit in St Albans; occasional work at the PYMHWS Sunshine site.
Term: 12‑month fixed term; Part‑time 0.8 EFT
