Job Opportunity Overview

This 4-year fixed-term contract offers an exceptional chance to acquire technical skills and contribute to the successful delivery of planned maintenance at Barron Gorge Power Station.

You will achieve this by applying your learned knowledge and assisting in the execution of planned preventative maintenance to ensure highly reliable renewable generation.

Suitable candidates will participate in on-the-job training, including TAFE study blocks to gain a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completion of a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical (4-year course)
  • Daily application of acquired skills on an operating site
  • Assistance in delivering planned preventative maintenance
About You

• Commitment to successfully completing a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical (4-year course)

• Completion (or currently completing) year 11 with satisfactory results in Math & English

• Valid drivers' license (learners or provisional stage acceptable)

• Strong commitment to safety

• Willingness to learn and ask questions when required

• Passion for contributing to the delivery of renewable, reliable, and affordable energy for Queensland
