About the OpportunityJoin a dynamic team driving the performance and reliability of cutting-edge solar and BESS assets. As an O&M Engineer, you'll work closely with technicians to troubleshoot control, electrical, and network issues, ensuring compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Optimize and manage control systems for solar generation assets
- Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls for SCADA and automation systems
- Monitor system performance, diagnose faults in SCADA, PLCs, and data communication networks
- Ensure compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support system upgrades, network expansions, and maintain technical documentation
- Manage system security, including safeguarding passwords and access protocols
- Perform routine maintenance and prepare detailed maintenance reports
- Conduct fault-finding and develop Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in control systems and industrial network management
- Strong skills in SCADA, HMI interfaces, PLC programming, and IP-based communications
- Knowledge of network tools, topologies, and cybersecurity best practices
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Passion for renewable energy and a collaborative team spirit
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Australia when needed
- Compliance with SOCI Act requirements for critical workers
