As a key member of our underground team, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Planning Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering strategic mine plans that meet our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor Mine Planning Engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality mine plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement medium- and long-term planning requirements, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and spatial compliance reports.
  • Produce detailed mine designs, level extraction plans, and economic evaluations to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of ore reserve preparations in accordance with JORC code definitions.
  • Work closely with production, geotechnical, and geology teams to align short-term priorities with medium- and long-term objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize mining processes and provide business improvement strategies to drive operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Deswik packages, including Scheduler, CAD, and SO.
  • Practical experience in large-scale underground mining operations, including new project ramp-ups and multi-site operations.
  • Previous experience with financial modeling and costing.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable).
  • WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency (desirable).
