Short-Term Mine Planning Expert

About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in short-term mine planning to support our growing global client base. This individual will collaborate with specialists in mine scheduling and design to deliver leading-edge software solutions, driving business growth and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of mining engineering, mine design, planning, simulation, and scheduling, as well as practical site operational experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, implement and configure software for clients with a focus on short-term mine planning products.
  • Provide training, support and client liaison for existing clients.
  • Assist with the provision of general consulting services as required.
  • Identify new clients for both software and consulting services.
  • Maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support business development efforts in promoting software use to potential clients.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Primary experience in mine planning with a minimum of 3-5 years operational short-term planning experience.
  • A working knowledge of mine design, planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills in complex business environments.
  • Ability to travel regularly and adapt to changing project requirements.
Highly Regarded Qualifications And Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of mine planning/scheduling and design packages available in the market.
  • Site-based experience in the short-term planning space.
  • Experience in software and implementation consulting.
  • Understanding of operational data systems used on site, including Fleet Management, Drill and Blast and other data capture systems.
