Job Overview

This role supports the implementation of a comprehensive monthly mine plan, ensuring conformance to schedule and facilitating follow-up actions as needed.

The position also involves collaborating with the mining contractor to review and improve planning processes, monitor progress, and provide commercial clarification and support.

Additionally, the role provides support for integrated quarterly planning, life-of-mine planning, and reporting activities for Mt. Holland.

This is a permanent full-time position based on an 8:6 roster at our Mt. Holland site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a safe and inclusive working environment in Mine Tech Services and at Mt. Holland.
  • Conduct all work efficiently and effectively, adhering to statutory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and ensure a secure working environment.
  • Develop and implement integrated monthly plans for Mt. Holland, incorporating operational and maintenance inputs and assumptions.
  • Lead pre-planning meetings, finalize plans, and roll out reports to stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance to plans and report improvements and necessary actions.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget plans and quarterly performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual commitments and timely completion of approvals and reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to mine operations, including planning, progress reporting, design, and contractor management.
  • Participate in reviews and understand Life-of-Mine and expansion study projects.
  • Drive a culture of safe mining practices and performance.
  • Guide mining operations towards the most appropriate methodologies.
  • Support quality assurance and control of drill and blast operations.
  • Prepare geotechnical data and assist with landform design.
  • Collaborate in blast master workshops.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Valid C Class Manual Driver's License.
  • Unrestricted WA Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable).
  • 2-5 years' experience in open pit, hard rock mining operations and mine planning, preferably with lithium exposure.
  • Drill and blast experience.
  • Experience managing complex mining contracts.
  • Mining software skills, specifically Alastri, production scheduling, and tactical scheduling software.
