Job Description

The Mine Engineer Planning is a key role in overseeing all short to midterm mine planning, factoring in financial, geotechnical, geological, mining methods, and resource considerations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Short-term planning – Monthly/Quarterly schedule.
  • Long term scheduling – Assist development life-of-mine and budget schedules.
  • Monitoring and Support – Analysis of plan compliance, efficiencies and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Cost management – Monitor underground costs and ensure designs maximise value.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years underground mine engineering experience (design, planning, scheduling, and D&B).
  • Proven experience identifying, understanding, and solving complex problems.
  • Experience with mine design software, ideally Deswik and Aegis.
