Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Relations & Corporate Affairs Manager to join our team at IOOF Holdings Limited. This role is pivotal in managing our corporate communications, and contributing to our policy and advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the formulation of our policy views, engaging with internal stakeholders and industry associations, and contributing to public policy consultations
- Coordinate our representation on industry association working groups and develop centralized resources and meeting briefs
- Manage our crisis management communications framework and assist with planning and preparation around key business events and the corporate reporting cycle
- Maintain our corporate website, including writing and updating content, and project manage the annual report, preparing content for CEO and Chairman letters and editorial content
- Work with other members of the Corporate Affairs team to ensure effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven experience in the financial services industry, in a public advocacy role and corporate affairs function is highly desirable
- Good understanding of the political and regulatory landscape
- Effective time management and ability to exercise appropriate judgment and understand the reputational impact of policy positions
- Effective stakeholder management and project management skills
- Skill in interpreting and assessing complex policy reforms for commercial impacts
- Ability to distil complex issues into clear, concise communication
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in issues and crisis management
