**Job Title:** Service Desk Manager

 

We are seeking an experienced Service Desk Manager to lead our team in providing courteous and efficient support to all users of our IT systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a roster to ensure the Service Desk is appropriately staffed to answer calls in a timely manner.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of Analysts who maintain service availability of IT systems and support for various departments and locations.
  • Providing general advice to team members and handling escalated problems, queries, and complaints effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Advising management regarding the capabilities and operational status of all systems and support.
  • Monitoring incidents reported to the Service Desk, identifying problems, and liaising with IT suppliers for their resolution.
  • Ensuring all incidents are logged and kept current via an IT Service Management system.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have formal education in a relevant field, such as IT or business, and experience in a similar role. You will also require strong technical skills, including knowledge of ITIL processes and experience working with ITSM systems.
