Midwife Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Midwife to join our postnatal and birth suite unit in East Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns.

Job Description

Mission: Deliver holistic, personalized midwifery care that empowers families to have a positive pregnancy, birth, and postnatal experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert midwifery care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including advice on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery.
  • Monitor and assess the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure a seamless, patient-centered experience through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Role-model empathy, compassion, and professionalism in interactions with patients and families.
  • Continuously enhance skills by participating in ongoing education and staying current with best practices in maternity care.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • AHPRA Registration as a midwife.
  • Previous experience in a Birth Suite and/or Postnatal ward.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary maternity and newborn care practices.
