Lead a Dynamic Food and Beverage Team

Ventia is seeking a skilled Hospitality and Catering Supervisor to join our Defence Base Services contract at RAAF Base Tindal, NT.

We are looking for a seasoned leader who can guide and support a strong food and beverage team to achieve excellence in service standards. If you have a passion for engaging people, a commitment to operating safely, and a desire to take on new challenges, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective training programs for staff
  • Coordinate monthly bar and beverage stocktakes, ensuring accurate reports and timely submissions
  • Monitor and control weekly rosters, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints and contractual requirements
  • Attend and conduct regular pre-starts, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
  • Input meal pass data into actual/forecast spreadsheets in a timely manner
  • Ensure messes complete buffet compliance and toolboxes are uploaded into IMS

Requirements:

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience in collaborative and consultative processes
  • Proven experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
  • Food Safety for Supervisors certification (training provided by employer) desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
