Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employee Lead to join our team at Green Light. As an Employee Lead, you will be responsible for managing strategies and processes related to employment awards, culture, onboarding, offboarding, grievance resolution, performance management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and frameworks that support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Provide support, guidance, and oversight to managers and staff on a wide range of HR matters, including practices and policies related to performance management, redeployment & redundancy, conflict resolution, grievances, discipline, policies, employment awards, and change management.
  • Undertake award interpretation, including casual employment, across the range of industry awards and agreements, and provide advice to managers and staff in relation to these.
  • Provide timely information and/or education for all levels of the company on HR issues.
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Collaborate with the business to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Provide operational advice to managers and staff in relation to employment contracts, terms of employment, and the interpretation of agreements, awards, and policies.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of human resource policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in operational HR planning and strategy, including assisting in consultation processes with internal stakeholders and training programs.

Requirements

  • Previous strategic human resource experience working within a busy team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize in a results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in accordance with guidelines provided by the Operations Manager and established company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of policies, legislation, awards, including casual employment.
  • High-level ability to utilize and quickly adapt to new HR processes and technology with ease.
  • Experience in overseeing performance reviews, redundancies, and grievance reviews.
  • Ability to build relationships, establish personal credibility, and demonstrate HR expertise to consistently deliver high-quality and efficient advice to key stakeholders.
  • Experience with strategizing and implementing people practices that support a positive culture, flexibility, pragmatism, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • High-level interpersonal, communication skills, and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
