Strategic Technology Risk Leader for Digital Transformation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Technology Risk Leader to join our team and lead the development of our technology risk profile. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future direction of our organization and contribute to shaping our risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and oversee the Tech Risk profile, ensuring that ING Australia's Technology team operates within our established risk appetite.
  • Set strategic direction for Tech Risk and Control during a period of significant growth and transformation.
  • Oversight of both technology and data risk for the organization, including regulatory compliance and governance.
  • Be a Risk Change Leader, promoting proactive, efficient risk culture and practices in Technology.
  • Manage resources in Sydney and two key offshore hubs, with a focus on building effective stakeholder relationships and growing and developing your Leaders and overall Risk team capability.
  • Steer and oversee compliance to local regulatory requirements and ING global compliance policies.
What We Are Looking For
  • A proven track record in Senior Technology Risk Leadership roles, with experience managing offshore resources and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge, preferably with some exposure to public cloud (Azure or similar).
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to technology and data in financial services.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and dependencies, and navigate ambiguity in a period of significant transformation and change.
  • Breadth and depth, with a comfort in a hands-on SLT role.
