**The Role**

We seek an experienced Transformational Leader - Strategic Initiatives to develop and lead strategic initiatives within our Critical and Emerging Technologies sector.

You will build our commercial strength, profile, brand, and reputation by working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative cross-sector initiatives that align with national priorities, solve critical challenges, and lead us into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead project delivery in strategically important areas for SA
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new products, services, or standards solutions in new areas or ways, delivering sustainable commercial performance
  • Drive new market development opportunities and offerings across the value chain
  • Build initial agreement in new, difficult, or contentious areas of activity or where stakes are high
  • Manage strategic risk and complex stakeholder and industry issues as they arise
  • Build and maintain a network of stakeholders from industry, government, and the community
  • Educate industry and government on key strategic activities through public presentations and networking events
  • Share insights on industry and government trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Develop public submissions in priority areas
  • Mentor and delegate project work to Strategic Initiatives Officers, with possible formalised reporting arrangements

About You

We require a highly skilled professional with:

  • A degree or equivalent post-secondary qualification in an appropriate discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in high-level stakeholder/client engagement and project delivery
  • A track record developing products and services with proven commercial performance
  • Experience participating in panel discussions and public speaking
  • Desirable: experience within the Critical and Emerging Technologies sector and people management

We offer a competitive salary range $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, regular team events, additional personal/carer's leave, regular awards, and ongoing training.
