Senior Electrical Design Engineer, APAC Data Center Design Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our data center design and engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design of our data centers across the APAC portfolio.
As an electrical design engineer at Amazon, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality electrical designs that meet our stringent quality and budget requirements. You will be responsible for creating designs that meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead data center electrical designs in collaboration with other disciplines to create a coordinated construction document set.
- Participate in site selection reviews and work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment.
- Work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements and ensure compliance with IEC requirements and various APAC-wide design codes.
- Review and approval of equipment submittals and define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
- Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.

Requirements- Degree in Electrical Engineering with cumulative 6+ years of experience with mission-critical electrical design.
- Comprehensive understanding of various code requirements across the APAC region for critical MV and LV electrical equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Cross-discipline design coordination experience.
- Chartered Engineer or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with delivering fast-track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
- Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/construction.
