We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in APAC, responsible for leading the electrical design of our data centers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet our stringent safety and security standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead data center electrical designs, collaborating with other disciplines to create coordinated construction document sets.
- Participate in site selection reviews and work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements.
- Design critical data center equipment, including site-wide MV infrastructure, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, and earthing.
- Develop designs that meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary constraints.
- Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with IEC requirements, APAC-wide design codes, and other jurisdictional regulations.
- Review and approve equipment submittals and work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
- Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical system installations, operations, and performance.
- Travel to sites for site reviews and work with onsite field engineers, as needed.

- 3+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design.
- Comprehensive understanding of various code requirements across the APAC region.
- Fundamental understanding of critical MV and LV electrical equipment.
- Experience with fast-track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects.
- Detailed understanding of MV system modeling, relays, protection schemes, circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, grounding, and earthing.
- Previous experience with consultant negotiation and management skills associated with design, construction, and project execution.
- Experience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms and knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
