Community Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Liaison Specialist to facilitate community engagement for a major construction project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, with experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications and expectations among the community, industry stakeholders, and other parties involved
  • Develop and provide collateral to effectively communicate project works to various audiences
  • Offer expert advice and assistance to internal staff on best practice communication and engagement strategies
  • Attend local community meetings and events, provide stakeholders with information and feedback
  • Resolve conflicts as required, ensuring timely and effective resolution

Requirements:

  • Experience preparing and implementing communication strategies that achieve desired outcomes
  • A highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Flexible working style with strong interpersonal skills to build trust with all levels of the community and stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or several years' experience in stakeholder management or community liaison

This role requires someone who is comfortable working on-site in a construction environment, with strong marketing and communications expertise.
