Senior Policy Expert Role

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Expert to join our team. This role will involve providing comprehensive support to ensure the effective functioning of the Advisory Group as it considers key strategic matters related to cash equities clearing and settlement.

The position is a unique opportunity to be involved in the work of the Advisory Group, which will be considering issues relating to the CHESS project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice and information to support the Advisory Group's functions.
  • Ensuring appropriate governance arrangements for the Advisory Group are in place and observed.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to manage external communications on behalf of the Advisory Group.
  • Preparing materials relating to the work of the Advisory Group.

As a member of the broader Office of the General Counsel, opportunities will exist for you to leverage your regulatory policy, legal or governance expertise to a range of other matters when time permits.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience in a policy, legal or governance role.
  • Tertiary education in legal, policy or governance discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisational and coordination skills.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and initiative
Nice To Have
  • Experience in providing secretariat functions in a complex environment.
  • Background in the financial services sectors
