  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and deliver a flexible, child-centred program tailored to meet the unique needs of children with additional needs and their families.
  • Lead and support staff with training and guidance to ensure the highest standards of inclusive care and support.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities that encourage learning, exploration, and social development.
  • Create a safe, supportive environment where children with additional needs feel valued, included, and empowered.
  • Provide ongoing advocacy and support for children's individual care plans and requirements.
  • Receive comprehensive onboarding, ongoing training, and career development opportunities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in supporting children with additional needs, including training or managing teams in this context.
  • Strong understanding of disability support, inclusion practices, and child development.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail in delivering tailored support.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to TheirCare's values of Caring, Open, and Engaged.

Compliance Requirements:

You will also need to meet the following compliance requirements:

  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain.
  • Child Protection Training and Mandatory Reporting knowledge.
  • Working towards or holding an ACECQA-approved Diploma level qualification.
