Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer We are seeking experienced Senior Cloud Engineers to provide cloud engineering services into the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD). The successful candidates will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring it operates efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organisational technical and business requirements. Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Cloud Architecture: Proven experience in architecting and designing cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and senior leadership, to optimise cloud services.
  • Security and Compliance: Experience implementing and assessing security controls in alignment with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), ISM, and Essential Eight.
  • Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, CNAPP/SASE tooling, and Azure Active Directory/Azure AD Domain Services.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical teams and senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain NV1 clearance and be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).
 Job Responsibilities:
  • Architect, Design, and Implement: Secure and scalable cloud solutions for ASD.
  • Collaborate: With cross-functional teams to optimise cloud services for cost, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Contribute: To the implementation of CNAPP/SASE tooling across cloud platforms.
  • Analyse and Plan: Current architectures, plan for emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
