About the Role

Merivale is seeking a seasoned hospitality professional to lead our bars and drive business growth. As Head of Bars, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bars, including venue performance, presentation, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a collaborative and passionate culture within the teams, focusing on achievement of business priorities and product innovation.
  • Attract and lead key talent through effective FOH people practices.
  • Deliver revenue generation activities resulting in financial growth.
  • Drive guest engagement and recognition, including VIPs and regular guests.
  • Effective financial management, ensuring costs (COGS, Labour, CWD, stocktakes) are managed and sales budgets and profit expectations are met.
  • Support senior teams with evaluating and cultivating supplier relations, compliance of supplier contractual agreements, product acquisition, and brand partnerships.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in a comparable role within the hospitality industry, managing multiple venues with an F&B focus.
  • A people leader with experience leading teams of different sizes.
  • A beverage professional with experience working with a large range of products.
  • A strong operator who enjoys being in service and delivering exceptional guest experience.
  • Truly passionate about the hospitality industry.
