Job Summary

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team, providing early intervention for children with Autism. This is a part-time fixed term position, with the potential to transition to permanent on graduation.

About the Role

This role will involve providing highly skilled, autism-specific, early intervention within the AEIOU framework for children with Autism aged from 2 to 6 years. You will work within the Occupational Therapy discipline, implementing evidence-based interventions and reviewing treatment plans. There will be opportunities to develop your documentation skills and work collaboratively with team members and families.

Requirements

  • You are motivated to learn how to effectively support young children with Autism;
  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy;
  • You are willing to learn Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) specific techniques;
  • You have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and families;
  • You have your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (double-dose) or have an exemption;
  • You have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement);
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check required;
